General Information For Abstract Submission

Authors have to follow the following guidelines for abstract submission. Those not conforming to the guidelines will not be considered for evaluation

  • All submitting authors need to create an account for abstract submission. All communications will be made to the submitting author.
  • More than one abstract can be submitted by the author. But duplicate abstracts will not be considered for evaluation.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English and must be presented in English.
  • The body of the abstract must not be more than 300 words. If more, it would be truncated at 300 words.
  • The work being presented should be original and should not have been presented earlier in any of the meetings in India and should not have been published.
  • All mandatory fields need to be filled by the author. Authors will not be able to submit the abstracts without filling in the mandatory fields.
  • Submission of full paper as a single PDF format is mandatory (along with abstract submission) if the abstract is being submitted for a Plenary or Young Investigator session. Author will not be able to submit the abstract in this category without uploading the full paper as single PDF file.
  • Abstracts/Papers will be reviewed by a panel of experts and may be selected for Plenary session, Young Investigator session, INASL Oral Session or Poster presentations (including Presidential poster and Poster of distinction) or may be rejected.
  • Detailed information, guidelines and recommendations for presentation in ‘Plenary Session’, ‘Young Investigator Session ‘, ‘INASL Oral Session’ or ‘Poster Presentation’, including the day, time and room will be sent in due course to duly registered submitting authors.
  • Notification of acceptance or rejection by the Scientific Committee will be e-mailed to the submitting author by 15 thJune, 2025.
  • Submitting authors can edit their submitted abstracts till the last date of submission
  • Abstracts/papers received after the last date of submission will not be considered.
  • All abstracts will be published in a citable format in the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology, (JCEH), official journal of the INASL and Liver Transplant Society of India, which has an Impact Factor of 3.3. Please visit https://www.jcehepatology.com/ for details.


A. Plenary Oral Session

  • The presenting author should be an INASL member or have applied for INASL membership if eligible (for eligibility, see the details on INASL website, www.inasl.org.in)
  • The work being presented should be original and should not have been presented earlier in any of the meetings in India and should not have been published.
  • Full scientific papers conforming to the ‘Authors’ Guidelines’ of original manuscript of “Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology (JCEH), an official Journal of INASL” need to be submitted online as a single PDF file (along with abstract submission) for consideration of the paper for this session.
  • A panel of experts will evaluate these papers and the first five in merit will be selected for the presentation in ‘Plenary Oral Session’, the rest will either go to the ‘INASL Oral Session’, ‘Poster of Distinction’, ‘Presidential Poster’ ‘General Poster Session’ ’ or rejected as per the decision of the Scientific Committee.
  • The time allotted for each plenary oral presentation will be 9 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of question time (total 12 minutes).
  • Detailed information, guidelines and recommendations for ‘Plenary Oral Session’, Including day, time and room will be sent in due time to duly registered submitting authors.


B. Young Investigator Session

  • The presenting author should be an INASL member or have applied for INASL membership if eligible (for eligibility, see the details on INASL website, www.inasl.org.in)
  • Presenting Author must be younger than 40 years of age (as on 1st August, 2024).
  • The work being presented should be original and should not have been presented earlier in any of the meetings in India and should not have been published.
  • Full scientific papers conforming to the ‘Authors’ Guidelines’ of original manuscript of “Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hepatology (JCEH), an official Journal of INASL” need to be submitted online as a single PDF file (along with abstract submission) for consideration of the paper for this session.
  • A panel of experts will evaluate these papers and the best five in merit will be selected forthe presentation in ‘Young-Investigator Session’, rest will either go to the ‘INASL Oral Session’, ‘Poster of Distinction’, ‘Presidential Poster’ ‘General Poster Session’ ’ or rejected as per the decision of the Scientific Committee.
  • The time allotted for each Young-Investigator presentation will be 9 minutes, followed by 3 minutes of question time (total 12 minutes).
  • Detailed information, guidelines and recommendations for ‘Young-Investigator Session’ including the day, time and room will be sent in due course to duly registered submitting authors.


C. Poster Presentation

  • The work being presented should be original and should not have been presented earlier in any of the meetings in India and should not have been published.
  • The work needs to be categorized as Basic Science or Clinical.
  • The body of abstract must not be more than 300 words long. If more, it would be truncated at 300 words.
  • A panel of experts will evaluate these abstracts and will either be selected as ‘INASL Oral Session’, ‘Poster of Distinction’, ‘Presidential Poster’ ‘General Poster Session’ ’or rejected as per the decision of the Scientific Committee.

The abstract should be typed as follows:

  • The title should be as informative as possible.
  • Please provide 'First' and 'Last/Surname' of all authors as well as their affiliations (Departments and Institution names).
  • Body of the abstract must be structured in the following headings:- Background and Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusions.
  • All mandatory fields need to be filled by the author. Authors will not be able to submit the abstracts without filling in the mandatory fields.
  • Submission of full paper in PDF format is mandatory (along with abstract submission) if the abstract is being submitted for a Plenary or Young Investigator session. Author will not be able to submit the abstract in this category without uploading the full paper as a single PDF file.
  • Please ensure that your abstracts do not contain any spelling, grammar or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced/published exactly as submitted and would be truncated at 300 words.
  • Abstracts not conforming to the guidelines will not be considered for evaluation.
  • Use of Artificial Intelligence software for preparation of abstracts is NOT permissible.
